Origin of Wyeast 3822

Ive been brewing lately with the Wyeast PC: 3822 Belgian dark ale. Its a great yeast: attenuation is great, yeast stick tot the bottom and nice yeast profile.

However Im curious about the origin of this yeast strain. Its used to be called Dutch Castle or Ingelmunster. However I brewed a Belgian dark ale and the yeast profile is different from Kasteel beers.

Does anyone have any idea?

Have you tried contacting Wyeast with your question? I bet they are willing to assist.
