Haven’t picked up any Duvel yet, but here’s a comparison against Damnation (which is on the left; and sorry for the terrible photo). The color was much closer.
The flavor was also pretty close. Damnation has a touch more mouthfeel and is a little bit fruitier in both flavor and aroma. I feel like I could almost clone it with a few changes. What I really want to do is figure out how to get a bit more yeast character.

Man, I wish shipping beer wasn’t so expensive. It’s really cool to send beer to each other; I’m really enjoying seeing that a few of you are doing that. It was like $17 for me to send 2 beers to Ken. I’m broke a$$, can’t afford to do that much! Really fun sharing beer and sharing feedback as well.

Well, I am enjoying it. I gave my daughter a taste and she tried to steal my beer. I told her to hump her little @$$ downstairs and draw her own.
So much to brew… but that beer looks fantastic!
My recent APA. Even though I dry hopped it with 5 ounces of hops (Cascade and Simcoe) it’s a very nicely balanced and quaffable brew.
