So I brewed 1933 Lees’ Export recently. The recipe is from Ron Pattinson book, “The Home Brewer’s Guide to Vinatge Beer”. When I was cooling the wort, I accidentally dropped a piece of ice from the ice bag into it. The temperature of the wort was 120 degrees. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks in advance for your comments. It is very much appreciated.
I think you will be fine.
+1. I’ve topped up beers with water straight from the tap with no issues, doubt you’ll have any problems.
Be sure and let us know how the beer turns out, I’m always interested in hearing about what people think of Pattinson’s recipes.
Just one piece of ice? You are totally screwed…Just kidding. No worries. The beer Gods will smile on you.
Another ‘no worries’ here. It’ll be good.
Thanks all for your input! I thought it would be fine. But, I wanted to check what you all thought. I love this forum!
