President and First Lady are brewing in the white house

I just ran into this article:

Maybe we ought to invite them to become AHA members?

Maybe they need to know about mead with the whitehouse stash of honey.

I’m pretty sure they’re not the ones brewing.  Here’s a more accurate version…

Well, maybe we ought to invite the chefs at the WH to join.

No need to invite them, they won’t be in the WH much longer…

;D ;D  8)

Not necessarily.  The White House Executive Chef is more of a permanent position.  For example, the current chef, Cristeta Comerford, was hired by Bush, Jr.

edit: apologies for the buzzkill.  ;D

Let’s get the topic back to beer, huh?

Sorry, but I think it is kinda cool that our hobby is going on in our (collectively) White House.  Politics aside.

I also apologize if this isn’t beery enough for or if I put this in the wrong area on our Forum.

Politics aside, any positive exposure for the obsession, especially on such a big level is great IMHO

and there will be more in 2012!!!

FORWARD!

I think it’s extremely cool to see brewing going on in the White House!  Especially since they’re getting into the homebrew spirit by using their own ingredients.

Now I would be impressed if they were homebrewing spirits in the White House.

Hey, it was good enough for George Washington…

I oughta see if I could get Frankie doing some homebrew up in the Palais de l’Élysée… That would be interesting.

There’s beer in France?!  Sacrebleu!  Qui savait?

I don’t think I can bring myself to call a lot of the commercial stuff ‘beer.’ For example, this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0AOylmOE2I

From Hoegaarden, no less.

I see that Denny is mentioned in the blog as well.  8)  That’s some exposure, dude!

Don’t worry, Americans are still number #1 in abusing beer: http://www.esquire.com/cm/esquire/images/nB/bud-light-chelada-051710-lg.jpg

obsession, who’s obsessed, i am not obsessed, am i?
