RO Water Profile

I just had a new water softener and RO system installed, ran it for a few weeks, and pulled a sample and sent it off to Ward labs just to see how we did with the system. Water was terrible before, and now it comes in very clean. Specs from Ward Labs are below:

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Est, 26 ppm
Electrical Conductivity, mmho/cm 0.04
Cations / Anions, me/L 0.3 / 0.2
Sodium, Na 5 ppm
Potassium, K < 1 ppm
Calcium, Ca < 0.01 ppm
Magnesium, Mg < 1 ppm
Total Hardness, CaCO3 < 1 ppm
Nitrate, NO3-N 0.4 ppm (SAFE)
Sulfate, SO4-S < 1 ppm
Chloride, Cl 3 ppm
Carbonate, CO3 < 1.0 ppm
Bicarbonate, HCO3 6 ppm
Total Alkalinity, CaCO3 5 ppm
Total Phosphorus, P 0.03 ppm
Total Iron, Fe < 0.01 ppm

Question is, should I enter these values in Bru’n Water as shown in the Ward report, or should I just enter “RO”?

I don’t think it makes any difference. Those numbers are all so small that the difference between them and zero is not significant.

If you’re confident that your system is going to provide that water quality, I suggest that you revise the RO profile that comes loaded in Bru’n Water. That profile is entered at the bottom of the Water Adjustment sheet…scroll way down the sheet to find it. Those blue cells can be modified as you see fit.
