Safale WB-06 Ale Yeast

I’m going to make an American Honey Wheat.

Has anybody used the Safale WB-06 Ale Yeast. Does it work well. I guess it was made for wheat beers so I was going to give it a try.

FWIW,unless U pasteurize/filter out the yeast adding honey will NOT give a honey flavor

WB-06 makes a good Hefeweizen
I ferment at 66 with that yeast and get a good balance of banana and clove.
Its a bit tart, tried it in a Dunkelweizen and its wasnt very good.

If you want to keep it American, you may want to use a more neutral yeast.  WB-06 will make it more like a hefe than an AM. wheat.

Yeah, thats a point I overlooked

+1. Go with US-05. WB-06 is a German Wheat Beer Yeast.

I think I will go with 05. thanks for all the feed back.
