Seattle Events Happening Today (4/13/2011) How to chose?

Amazing.  There are four different events going on in Seattle today.  I’d like to try and attend them all, but I’m not sure that’s realistic.

  1. Old Wooly Veritical Tasting at Big Time Brewing (University District):
    They’ll have on tap Old Wooly '04, '05, '06 and '09.  Yum!

  2. Beer Valley IPAs on tap at Brouwer’s Cafe w/ Beer Valley head brewer, Pete Ricks in attendance (Unsure what time, waiting for Brouwer’s to confirm).
    -Rosebud IPA
    -Leafer Madness Double IPA
    -Black Madness Double Black IPA

  3. Cooper’s Alehouse IPA Fest is still going on, and they should be putting on some pretty good taps today (Lagunitas, Green Flash, etc. etc.)

  4. IPA Throwdown at Full Throttle Bottles (5-7PM).  This is just a tasting event (1-2oz tastes) and it’s on my way home, so I should be able to hit this one either way.

As I said, I’m gonna try hitting all 4. Any other Seattle locals care to join me for one or all of these?   ;D

Now you’re just rubbing it in for people who don’t live here

I might make it to Big Time, that’s it.  I’m not sure I can though.

Well, I don’t mean to.  :P  We just always seem to have a serious abundance of great beer-related activities/events around here and I just Love it!

I may miss you at Big Time.  That’ll probably be my first stop (perhaps 2nd - depends on Brouwer’s schedule - I’m off work around 1:15 - 1:30 today).  But you can always say hi to Drew Cluley - he’s been there just about every day since starting/since Bill left.

By the way, Big Time is a great place too, for those around here who don’t know.  Sure, we have lots of good pubs with a geat tap selection around here, but only Big Time has only their own beers 100% of the time (OK - they also carry Spire’s Cider, but that’s it!), and they’re ALL pretty damn good!

On tap just yesterday they had a great line up - all their own (and I’m sure I’m forgetting 1/2 of them):

-Baghwan’s Best IPA
-Scarlet Fire IPA
-Decade Imperial IPA
-Hopfest (Citra Hops)
-'10 Embrocation Strong Ale on CASK
-Breakfast Cereal Killer Stout
-Saison Grisette Belgian Farmhouse Ale
-Prime Time Pale
-Atlas Amber
-Coal Creek Porter
-And for today, the barley wines I listed above (all on Casks/firkins on the bar).

If any of you out-of-towners get to Seattle, definitely check out Big Time.  They don’t distribute, so it’s only here.

Schedule update:

-Cooper’s Alehouse Opens at 2:00 - so that’s when this one starts
-Big Time Barleywine event at 3:00 (may be 2:30)
-Brouwer’s event starts at 6:00
-Full Throttle Bottles IPA tasting starts at 5:00 (5-7)

Yeah!  What Tom said!

I’m so mad I’m gonna wax up my board and go surf all day…  ;D

While we have rain and a high of 49 - where the hell is Spring!?  lol

Starts at 2. Barleywine at 3. IPA’s at 5. Sounds like fun, but I would definitely have to bring along a DD.  :stuck_out_tongue:

I was able to pace myself well & have no more than 1 per hour.
