My wife and I are doing a “tour” as a part of my son’s high school band trip to Spain. The cities are Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, and Valencia. Anyone have any recommendations? My expectations for beer are pretty low and our “free time” might be limited as it’s a tour with a large group.
Barcelona is awesome for beer. It’s a cinch to find a craft beer there. If you cannot find a craft beer, just go for a pitcher of Sangria.
I had been to Barcelona last year and visited their Mikkeller Bar. Great place if you are a fan of good beers.
Ive done Madrid and Toledo. Both beautiful places. The museums in Madrid are amazing, Toledo is a beautiful fortress city on a hill. Didnt drink too much beer there, but spanish reds are awesome. I hope you like pork, because they love it there!
