Stainless keg disconnects?

Anyone using, or prefer, either style of these stainless discos?

I use the Torpedo SS disconnects. I thread a faucet directly onto the disconnect eliminating tap lines.

I have both styles. I stopped using them. When they get cold they are nearly impossible to get off. If you need to move things around it can be very difficult. I don’t have the same problem with the plastic ones.

Bought couple of the one on the far left.
Very hard to get on at room temperature, even more difficult when cold.
They now sit in a drawer no longer in use.

Definitely use keg lube on the O-rings.  They work ok for me when the post O-rings are lubed.  If not lubed - they are a bear.

I got a pair as judge SWAG. Those were from AiH 6 or so years back. None of the problems your all talking about.

Would not say it would be the same after the sale of AiH.

I absolutely love my stainless steel ball-locks (I use a version much like the first photo). I won’t go back to the plastic junk I used before (had one break in my hand).

I read complaints about stainless disconnects, so I got Kegland flow control plastic jobs. They work fine. Easily disassembled. A little tight on the posts, though.

I run the Kegland flow control discos too and had to modify the center valve pin to get them to fit. Otherwise, I couldn’t get them to click onto the post. Very strange.
