Stuck in storage

Hey Team,

I ordered a couple of recipes from the USA and had it shipped to a close boarder town (I am Canadian), and got called away to a family emergency the day before the goods arrived.  As far as I know, the grains, hops and yeast have been stored at room temperature for 14 days.  To be on the safe side, I got new yeast before I came home.  But would the hops still be good?

Thanks,

James

Assuming they are in airtight packaging they will be fine.  Room temps for short time frames won’t hurt them at them at all.

The yeast is probably still good unless the storage area was extremely hot.  A starter will be required as it is even for properly stored yeast.  As a guesstimate reduce the viability by 15% to 20% for not being refrigerated.

Awesome, thanks for the info!  Hopefully the Hops are well stored
