Wanted: Cheap 5 gal kegs

Looking for cheap Corny keg around the Northern Delaware area. Any leads?

You and me both my friend. Good quality kegs are hard to come by these days it seems.

Wow… another Delawarian on the forum.  8)

Whereabouts in Delaware are you from …I’m in Smyrna?

I recently found a ton of corny kegs on ebay…  they had sets of 4 ball locks for as little as $100 Though the average price was about $40 for one…  might be worth your time to check out

You guys can’t fool me… Everybody knows Delaware is not really a true state, it’s just a rest stop on I95 between Maryland and New Jersey.

That’s all well and good but this is the fact. Enjoy.  ;D

Titah Wife

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. The first man had married a woman from Alabama and bragged that he had told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning. He said it took a couple days but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were done.

The second man had married a woman from Florida. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. On the first day he didn’t see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man had married a woman from Hawaii. He boasted that he told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn’t see anything, the second day he didn’t see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye. Enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and telephone a landscaper.

It’s only $58 to ship to my town, and these come from PA.  Deleware is a heckuva lot closer than Colorado.

Im in Marshallton(just outside Wilm)  Didnt think anyone esle from De was on here.
I had something lined up with a guy in Pa but he ended up selling them locally. Damn.  Im not all about Ebay right now, I ordered a homebrew kit from ebay(this will be my first try at making beer) and it never came. Trying to recoup my money from the shipper. So Id rather do F2F.

Good old Marshallton…that’s where my wife grew up. Great old place.

Kegs are expensive these days. I found a place about two years ago…the name escapes me but they were selling ball lock kegs for $16/ea. Needless to say, I bought four of them and now wish I had bought more. Their current price is $48 including shipping.

$38 with $7.99 flat rate shipping.  $167.75 for four kegs with shipping.

Lucky ting I marry one Jersey Tomato, ya?!

Eh, how mainland bruddah know bout titah?

Sounds like you Delawarians (?) should get together a group buy.

When I was there, thankfully, U of D had dropped the “History of Delaware” course requirement.

Doesn’t really help you East Cost folks, but for anyone in the Northwest, fellow board member Tshmidlin has lots of cornys for sale at a great price.  I recently bought 8 from him.

Ha!

Great googly moogly I’ll tell ya.

When were you in Delaware Tom?

So Tom’s holding out on us east coasters eh?  ;D

Hundreds of planes land at SEATAC every day…

I’m too lazy to ship, plus it’s a waste of gas. ;D There should be plenty available in your area, right?

Actually corny kegs [ The soda kegs } are getting harder to come by.
Both brew stores I use  say the prices have gone up tp 50+$ each
due to the supply get short on used kegs. The soda companys have g
one to syrup in a bag , and there was a hint that a lot of tehm were being
shipped overseas.
I have for some at cornykeg.com for a resonable price and with shipping
still about 10$ cheaper than I can by from brew store .
not much been on craigslist in the Atlanta area lately.

Just keep checking craigslist. They’re still out there at reasonable prices. I picked up 4 for $60 a couple months ago. They were very clean, I just replaced the o-rings, and they function perfectly. The trick is to stop looking after you have enough  . Those last 4 were 4 more than fit in my kegerator, but two are sitting full waiting for a spot to open up.

I understand.

I was just surprised to hear that you were selling them. Unfortunately, both of the places on Craigslist are 3 hour + drives. Considering the price of gas and my time make it’s impractical.

Thanks for the tips.
