Say what you want about GMOs, but what Omega has been doing lately excites the hell out of me. I can’t wait to try this out.
Many think that GMOs is about the effect on your health; this is minor.
The biggest problem of GMOs in agricultural products, and most likely yeast, is biodiversity.
It’s a very interesting and complex subject.
And like many other topics, the politics and popular opinion wars on the topic overshadow the science, which is where the true discourse should be based.

That made me think Morton-Thiokol. They made the solid rocket boosters on the Space Shuttle Challenger.
ive been enjoying the quality i perceive from omega yeasts over the past year and am legitimately excited by alot of their experimentation. i emailed them once and got a prompt reply.
Interesting and timely. I am going to brew next week. Might give this a try in a brew I did a few months ago and see how it changes the flavor profile. Thanks for the info.
So what are your appraisals of Star Party? Omega is giving out Star Party for a homebrew competition run by CHAOS in Chicago.

No, but sure!
Really works. I did a split batch with US-05, extract only and mostly Calypso hops. Tasted like two completely different beers. I got a lot of ripe/sulfury mango and pineapple from star party. Definitely plan on playing around with it more.
I’ve tried Bananza (kind of works) and Sundew (kind of meh), but star party really delivers on the tropical notes.
