What's Brewing this Weekend 1/4/2014?

What’s hitting the kettle this weekend?

I’m brewing a Pumpernickel IPA as referenced here https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/forum/index.php?topic=17491.0

Irish Red for me - wlp007, 1.060 OG, 1.013-14 FG, 6.0-6.3%…aged and ready for st. patricks day  :o

Nothing this weekend. Just continuing to build up a WLP 800 starter for next weekend’s hoppy pilsner.

Munich Helles today… about a third through the sparge… about halfway through a Hot Scotchy.

American IPA with about a pound of 2012 Falconer’s Flight I have left in the freezer (5-gallon batch). Trying to blow-out my old stock.

Yesterday I did an Irish Red and a Dry Stout.

Irish Stout for sure and maybe a tripel, if there’s time.

Honey Lemongrass IPA!  Sorachi Ace, Zythos and Motueka for 90 IBU and even more hop oil.  My next brew is always my best one.

Sunday I am brewing Denny’s VIP and a Belgian Pale Ale.

Assuming my ingredients arrive on time I’ll be brewing a second try on a Simcoe/Cascade IPA. Came out really well last time. My wife, who is my harshest critic and greatest supporter, and really don’t like IPAs a lot of the time, really liked this one so…

Yesterday I brewed my ACC IIPA. OG - 1.090, IBU’s - 158 with Amarillo, Citra, and Columbus hops.

Just added dry hops to my “American/Amarillo” Kolsch. Next up is another attempt at my house session ale…

Nelson sauvin kolsch. Tried to do it on Wednesday, but couldn’t get out of bed for some reason.

Must have been something going around.  I had the same problem.  It was a movie day.

It was a lethargic day, but I made 10 gallons of IPA Wednesday anyway.  After mashing in I realized I forgot to install the false bottom in the mash tun, so I had to scramble around and make a lauter tun out of old equipment.  A bit more work, but I still made beer.

Brewed a saison on 1-1 and looking to do CP’s Claude of Neptune II that was in last month’s Zymurgy magazine.  I will be harvesting some 2206 from a mini-batch of bock from last month (my first BIAB attempt - 2.5 gallons) that is ready to rack to the mini-keg for extended lagering at 34F.  There is a little mini-mashing of corn (by boiling, IIRC), but it looks like a winner.  Hoping for some bock-like beers for March.

Gotta rack some other beers, too, and allow for some space in the fermenting chest to free up.  Then I am going to try an eisbock!

Janet’s brown. Except I drop the carapils and add munich. And I use different hops. And I mash lower. And I use different yeast.

sooo, Not Janet’s Brown?

Made an Irish Red and a white wime before we left on the Christmas break so I’ll be transfering/bottling all weekend

Dark saison and maybe a ryeIPA if I get lucky.

Blatz…I guess you finalized that recipe?  What did you decide on the hops?
