What's brewing today?

Wanted to see who’s brewing what.
I’m doing an APA based on the nanomashing I did last weekend. Nothing too fancy, just trying to find the right grain combination to call my own.

Once I get my lazy ass out of bed, I going to be making an RIS and ESB today.

Belgian Blonde (~1.068 ish) today or tomorrow.  Castle Pils, Belgian Aromatic, Wheat, Cane Sugar. Probably a WY3787/3522 blend. Simple and good.

Gonzo IPA is on today’s schedule this time using all cascade and Amarillo with centennial for bittering charge.

It’s a rainy, soon to be hot day in Chi-town.

Hard to go wrong with those 3 hops ! Love 'em.

You know it! This is my regular house IPA and occasionally I mix up the hops so I’m sitting on a couple pounds of each that have just been making me really thirsty:D

No brewing today.  Going to transfer some beers into new kegs for transportation to NHC.

I’m going to help my brother-in-law brew his first extract batch.  I haven’t brewed an extract batch in about 5 years, so this ought to be interesting.

No brewing today.  Kegged 2 batches yesterday and have one more in the fermenter.

I’m brewing a Belgian Dark Strong.  Trying to clone Gouden Carolus’ Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw.  I’m doing a five gallon batch (as usual) then a brewing partner and I will assess, make any changes and brew another five.

No brewing today… I did brew a “good morning stout” on Thursday

Nothing this weekend but I am growing up a starter of 3711 that’s going to go into a mesquite-smoked saison next week or the week after depending on my work and travel schedule.

ALPHA KING ipa with centennial, columbus, cascade and crystal dry hop…

No brewing for me today.  Instead I got on a flight to Philadelphia for nhc!

Next weekend I go all out brewfool, this week I’m cleaning and re-arranging my brewing supply room, trying to repair my dying lagering fridge, gave the whole counterflow chiller, pump and all valves a good cleaning and generally getting ready to brew at 4 10 gallon batches with my buddy Tommy.

Today I brewed 11 gallons of all Citra Pale Ale - 1.054 OG, 30 IBU’s calculated plus a 30 minute hop stand got me maybe around 40 IBUs.  Hydro sample was yummy.  I’ll dry hop with Citra too.

I’ve tried Widmer’s Citra blonde. Not bad, but a little on the catty side for me. Makes me wonder if it’s a Citra thing or a widmer thing?

Friday I did 10 gallons of weizen and 10 gallons of IPA, heavy on the mosaic.  Smelled great going in to the fermenter.

Jim, there’s a pretty strong consensus that it’s the 60 minute, maybe even the 45 minute additions of citra that can give it a cat pee flavor.  I’ve made versions of this a couple previous times, avoiding a 60 minute addition, and never got any cattiness.  This 11-gal batch I went with 1.5 oz. FWH, .5 oz 10 minutes, 2.5 oz 5 minutes, and 2.5 oz at flameout, followed by the hop stand.

This approach has had me smackin’ my lips waiting for a new batch when the last keg kicks.

Thanks I may try as a late add sometime
