All ingredients have arrived for my first BVIP. Gonna feel funny using so little hops… :o
I’m brewing the classic Dean Larson “Christmas Tree Ale” recipe.
Dry hopped this one Monday. licks lips
Time to brew up another batch of Hawaiian Porter!
Racking a mild to secondary and brewing an English Pale Ale.
Well I was GOING to brew a heather ale last weekend but the ingredients did not arrive on time. So I was GOING to brew it this weekend but I failed to procure the heather tips. So plans are shifted, intentions reaimed and the new plan is to brew a simple pale ale/ ordinary bitter type thing this weekend which was going to be the small beer from a parti-gyle next weekend (also the starter for the BW next weekend) and brew the heather ale next weekend along with the BW.
Busy busy
West Coast APA. Basically, a session strength version of 21st Amendment’s Brew Free Or Die IPA, which is one of my favorite IPAs.
I’m going to Portland again, and I’m going to visit Brew Bros and pick up some sacks of malt.
No brewing again - got my heating elements and hopstopper yesterday, which I’ll be installing on the new kettles. And then I can stare and drool at the new kettles sitting on the garage floor for the next 3-4 months. :
ever tried the Green Flash IPA West Coast IPA clone? Dy-no-mite!
It’ll be 11 gallons of my house IPA on Sunday. The cellar is prime for fermenting ales right now.
It’s Helles time.
No brewing for me, but I’ll be spending the weekend in Madison, WI. I imagine I drink a pint or 3. Or more. There’s a lot of good local beer to be had in Wisconsin these days.
Supposed to be a Celebration Ale clone, right?
I brewed the CYBI Green Flash IPA clone last night, thanks to Paul for the recipe. Hope it’s good! The real deal sure is good.
Good thing my Amarillo and Simcoe hops will be delivered tomorrow, gonna brew this one soon. I haven’t tried the real deal yet.
Nothing here. Heading down for another football game on Saturday and that kinda wipes me out for the weekend.
After smoking 20 Lbs of Wheat malt over oak, then toasting 1.5 lbs of that, I brewed a Graetzer “Real Version” as listed on page 192 of Radical Brewing. 10 gallon batch.
^ that does sound radical…
nut brown ale for me
Brewed Baltic Porter today.
All 170 gallons of it (single batch).
Never had so much grain in my mash tun.
Heard a lot about it, but haven’t tried it. It sounds fantastic though; I’ll probably have to brew it sometime!
