That is a tough one because its either an APA or an IPA and sometimes its hard to tell them apart.

There’s not really a name for it, as it is one of those beers that crosses BJCP categories, but hoppy amber/red ales like Red Tail Ale, Red Seal Ale, and Speakeasy Prohibition… I love that style of APA/AAA as much as I love dubbels.
I’ve got a hoppy american red/amber on tap right now and it’s delicious!
I recently had the Thirteenth Anniversary Celebration Stone Beer (red dragon/devil logo), which is like an Imperial Amber Ale. It was really good. A more balanced beer as opposed to the sharp hoppiness of their IPA. I enjoy their IPA as well.
APA, IPA, IIPA, Stout, and porter.
I would have to say AIPA/IPA and bitter. Belgian tripels and stouts are a close second.
i am a huge fan of anythiny dark right now honestly
porter, apa
RIS for winter drinking (cant wait for 3/1 to get some KTG at Portsmouth!) and probably IPA or a belgian gold for the warmer months.
Free beer.
Pale Ale’s of all kinds. (Bitters, APA, IPA’s)
American & English IPA
Munich Helles
Oktoberfest
I think I might’ve replied to this already, but I’ve thought about it more because I typically don’t think about my favorite beer, I just drink it and enjoy beer.
But I think I like IPAs, Pale ales, hoppy ambers/reds, then oatmeal stouts are a close second.
But mostly my favorite beer is the one I’m currently drinking, usually.
70/30
Belgian - APA/IPA
Commercially: RIS for sure.
Homebrew: Lately I have been happiest with what I am calling “Uberdampfbier”.
(an 8 or 9% ABV wheat yeast barley ale)
The one that’s in my hand when the question is asked. :D Seriously, I’m on a hoppy, wheat beer kick right now. Love me some Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, 3F Gumbalhead, Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’, New Glarus Crack’d Wheat, etc… Not a “style” but just thought I’d share anyways. 8)
Homemade… ;D IPA mostly.
Graduated from light lagers back in the early 90’s and found myself partial to Bitters. I’ve tried many other styles since then but always returned to English style bitters. Pretty much all I brew now.
When I need something lighter I go for an Icehouse. Why this particular cheap beer? Don’t know. Just like it.
A good bitter is hard to beat. I have decided that I want to have a good bitter on tap daily. 8)
- Koelsch
- APA
- Bo Pils
- Bitter
It gets blurred from there…
