All seminars from the 2013 National Homebrewers Conference are now available exclusively to AHA members for download! Presentations include audio recording of the seminar as well as any visual aids the speakers used. More info here: http://bit.ly/HBC13sem
If you haven’t already, check out the 2012 seminars as well. Between this year and last, there is a lot of great information for brewers of all kinds (cider and mead makers, too!).
Non-members–you can check out a free preview of Mitch Steele’s talk from 2012. The link above will point you there!
Sweet! This will keep me going on my commute for the next month or two
I see that several of the talks were given on multiple days. For those that were there - are there any of them that are worth downloading both days’ talks? Otherwise I’ll probably just get day 2 of each.
They repeated all the Thursday seminars so the people who were judging had a chance to catch what they missed. They were supposed to be the same content. I’d just pick one.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. I listened to Saturday’s talk and it was excellent. Very timely for me as well. I’m currently “waking up” 2 of the 3 bottle dregs that I’m building my first sour starter from.
Can’t wait to download and watch some of these…I hope they all aren’t cut off! 2012’s were great to watch during an extended mash or boil this past year. Thanks AHA for this tremendous resource!
One thing that has been annoying as I listen to the seminars is that a lot of the presenters have given temperatures in degrees Celsius without providing the corresponding temperature in Farenheit. Since this is the American Homebrewers Association, I think the majority of us use *F in our day-to-day processes. I know that I’ve missed some useful information listening to these talks simply because when a speaker mentions something like 70C for a mash temp I can’t really relate it to anything. Providing the appropriate conversions would definitely help engage the audience a bit better.
