I got an ounce of Azacca that I’d like to try out, but they were stored warm in the swag bag and who knows how long beforehand, and they’re nowhere near vacuum-sealed (though maybe they’d look better at sea level). I’ll give them the sniff test on brew day and call an audible if needed, but I figured I’d throw the question out there first.
I just brewed an IPA 2 days ago with a 50/50 blend of a bag of Jarrylo hops and a bag of Falconers Flight from NHC. I also have two bags of the experimental hop they passed out at the hop seminar but I’m saving those for a little while later. I stored mine in the freezer until I used them and when I opened the bags they smelled good. Both the Jarrylo and FF are described as citrus and floral and that seemed to be what I got from them. We’ll see in a couple weeks if it turns out any good. Sounds like the Jarrylo Hops thread that a lot of people don’t like them.
I did an Azacca single hop IPA a while back. I like the hop. I’m not sure how much contribution an ounce will make though. I posted about it here:

Yeah, I think it’s a really nice late hop. I didn’t bitter with it, just hop stand and dry. But I’ll definitely use it again. I used it late in an APA that I bittered with Magnum.
Not yet, I will eventually brew the Ron Mexico recipe.
Same here , a small batch with some modifications, i.e. A sub for bittering, only have 2 oz. of Ron Mexico.
