Brewpubs in England & Scotland

We are in the planning stages of a 2 week trip to England and Scotland, this August. If anyone has done this recently?  I will do some searching for a travel guide on the subject, but if you can, give me a recommendation please.  Steve

CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide and Good Pub Guide are decent starting points. They have an app for the Pub Guide, but you have to pay to get all the features. I also like these two rating sites for finding pubs

IME, there aren’t many places that brew on premises, but I haven’t been outside London in a few years.

If you are fleshing out your itinerary, I highly recommend visiting York. It’s a great walking city, with almost intact medieval walls. And a lot of good pubs.

Thanks for both pieces of advice

There’s a pretty good guide in the Guardian

I live in Bristol and I would say, go to King Street - the “Beermuda Triangle” of the Small Bar, Navy Volunteer and Beer Emporium are nirvana for the craft beer drinker.
