Happy Halloween

Anyone see any good costumes?

We had a group of 5 teenage girls come by as Christmas Carolers.  They started singing “Carol of the Bells” as soon as my wife opened the door, and they were really good too.  Very clever

I worked all evening and came home after midnight. Though I often refer to my work as “every day is Halloween”…

No good ones for me.

The carolers sound like a hoot!

I don’t get many trick-or-treaters at my house even though I live in town.  I saw a few cute costumes but nothing that was very original.

Trick or Treating has been postponed until November 6th for us due to the power outages and trees down from the weekend snow storm.

Worked late and caught the tail end of the trick or treaters. My wife and daughter were handing out candy. I missed most of the action this year.

Kids are too fat and lazy nowadays to come down my driveway.  ::slight_smile:

Didn’t see many good costumes this year.

My wife made a parrot costume for our 11 month old and we dressed up as pirates. Another couple from the mothers group my wife goes to dressed themselves as banana plants and the baby as a monkey.

Next year we are thinking of dressing as a chicken adn rooster with the kid as an egg.

We had 3 trick or treaters last night, a new record.  Of course we had to call their parents and invite them. ::slight_smile:

The best group we had was 3 girls dressed as a mariachi band.  they had instruments but didn’t play.

I had Trick’or’Treat duty last night and was actually kinda amazed, in a good way at that.  Just about every kid, no matter the age, was more polite than I can ever remember.  Don’t know where that came from but made me smile.

Fixed that for you.

You work in a porn store or something?  I can imagine that’s like Halloween everyday…some weird people in those joints.

I wish! ;D No seriously, I work in radiology. Lots of bones, guts and body fluids. And I get to see a very nice cross-section of the lower echelons of society. :-\ Halloween. Everyday. Good thing I’m not squeamish. ::slight_smile:

HEY YOU KIDS!!!

GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Boy…you must have fun cleaning up egg shells and toilet paper every year

Gawd, that’s gonna be me someday, I swear…

We definitely don’t get any trick or treaters out here - too far from civilization. My kids drive 40 minutes to my parents house to trick or treat their neighborhood. I came home early from work today to wait for repairman. I have been getting into their candy all afternoon. I’ve had Milk Duds, Dots, Snickers, Twix and some Star bursts so far. Littlest one just got home so I guess that candy box is now shut down.

My neighbors gave their daughter a roll of toilet paper to roll our trees-all in fun, she had no idea what to do with it so she stuck it on a tree branch.  Hopefully it will still be there if I decide to defecate under the tree one day.

we left a bowl of candy in a chair on the front porch and set out on a hay ride in the neighborhood.

I took 8 square bales of hay, some xmas lights, a honda generator, an ipod dock and some powered monitor speakers, a few dollar store halloween decorations and decked out an 18’ trailer.  Us and the 8 kids and parents that joined us had a BLAST.  It was the best trick or treat outing I can remember as an adult.

My neighborhood does the same ('cept for the candy bowl) for New Year every year (when it’s not too cold)
With a “progressive dinner” Three to five homes host and we start with drinks, appetizers, meal, dessert
and so on. We start 8-9ish and end at the celebratory house with some champagne and the toast. Loads of fun.
