Its been too hot for too long. I’ve been here in Ohio for the bigger part of summer. So hot here, HVAC /sheet metal work has been unreal. Money has been great though. We figure make it while its there. Who knows what winter may bring. I’m sick of heat. I’m sick of humidity. I miss my wife, my dogs, and my mancave. I miss brewing. Oh, and i had an oxy/ aceteline torch blow up in my face today. Three more weeks, and I’m home for a good long while. Rant over. Thank you for listening.
I agree. I’m ready to get out of the 90+degree days along with the 75%+humidity. The dog days of summer are getting a little old now. My favorite season is right around the corner though.
I’m about to write off this summer too. I’m up in Cape Cod for the week and today was again hot and humid. The rest of the days have been cloudy with torrential rain at times. Except for Monday… ah, Monday. 72, clear and dry.
It looks like I’m in for a week in the mid-90s when I get back, which is not all that bad considering we’ve had weeks in the mid 100s recently. The day it hit 107 was especially nice. Good times.
So far we’ve had a pleasant summer in Central Texas. Only gets up to the upper 90’s instead of over a 100 like it usually does. The heat in Oklahoma and Arkansas has been brutal though. You put up with it but never seem to get used to this type of heat. I just move slower is all.
Every year I swear that a move to cooler climes is in order.
at my mom’s farm for the weekend. despite the heat, my dogs love swimming in the pond. breaking through the morning serenity though are the unmistakable sounds of summer: the race cars at mid-ohio. far enough away that it takes a trained ear to pick up on them.
