Important Update - AHA Forum Migration on 9/10

Hi everyone. On Tuesday, September 10, the AHA Forum, one of the planet’s longest-standing and most robust online homebrewing resources, will move to a new platform (Discourse). This migration will provide major technological and experience improvements. Relax and don’t worry…the full body of work, including your usernames and post history, will be accessible.

Here’s how to prep before September 10:
• Please confirm or update your forum email address (under ‘Account Settings, top right in forum), and if you are an AHA member or have been in the past, ensure your AHA member account email matches your forum email (HomebrewersAssociation.org https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/ top right of screen). Doing so lets you use your username and keep your post history.

Here’s what to do after September 10:
• If you are a current forum member but NOT an AHA member and haven’t been for over a year, you will need to register for a new account.  If you use the same email address that you used on the previous forum when signing up, your account will sync and bring over your profile.
• Remember…relax and don’t worry. If you are an existing forum user and are prompted to create a new account when logging in and want access to your past username and post history, contact our team, and we will unlock your previous forum account.

FWIW, all of us mods have been previewing and working with the new forum. I like it and I hope all of you will, too. For one thing, drag and drop photo uploading!

The instructions for after Sept. 10 include “If you are a current forum member but NOT an AHA member and haven’t been for over a year, you will need to register for a new account.  If you use the same email address that you used on the previous forum when signing up, your account will sync and bring over your profile.” I changed my email address as directed to try to fix an issue with notifications, so my current email is different from the one I used when signing up. My original email is the one I normally use. Which one should I use when registering for a new account?
