With the news that North Coast is closing, this recipe is even more important for me.

ETA: mental slip. It’s Lost Coast, not North Coast, that is closing.

For 6 gal.

1.070 OG. Should finish 1.012 or lower. 28 IBU

About 72% efficiency

11 lb. Rahr North Star pils
4 lb. Weyermann Vienna
1 lb. Dingemann Munich
.5 lb. Wheat malt
.5 lb. Sugar
2.5 oz. Tettnang 4.2% AA 60 minutes
WY3522 in 1 qt. SNS starter
Use a dry water profile
Mash in at 131. Immediately raise to 145 for 40 minutes. Raise to 158 for 40 min. Mashout at 168 for 20 min.
Ferment at 68F for 5 days. Raise to 72F til done. Crash to 35F before packaging.

Oh no! Where did you hear about North Coast closing?

A case of mistaken identity, I assume. Lost Coast Brewing in Eureka is closing. I don’t think North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg is.

Thanks, I’m glad to hear it’s not NorthCoast, but now I’m sad for Lost Coast :cry:

There would be riots in the streets if Old Rasputin went away!

As it is, Lost Coast made some beers that I am sad will be no more: Downtown Brown, 8-Ball stout, Indica IPA…these beers were so good when the brewery was in its prime.
