recommendations for first Dortmunder

Been wanting to try a Dortmunder for a few years now,  think I’ll give it try in the next few months now that I have some of my Pilsner techniques down (or at least improving)…  any recommendations for a recipe?  I found Blatz’s here http://wiki.homebrewersassociation.org/BlatzDortmunderGold which I would assume is a good one… anyone (besides Blatz) brewed it? Or have another suggestion?

I would not use any melanoiden malt and replace the carafoam with 2 more lbs of munich malt.

Disagree with previous post. I think Dortmunder and Helles beers need carafoam (carapils). Here’s mine:

5 Gallon Batch
5 lbs 4.0 oz Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM) 61.08 %
1 lbs 8.0 oz Munich (9.0 SRM) 17.45 %
12.0 oz Vienna Malt (5.0 SRM) 8.73 %
8.0 oz Carafoam (2.0 SRM) 5.82 %
8.0 oz Wheat, Flaked (1.6 SRM) 5.82 %
1.5 oz Melanoidin (30.0 SRM) 1.11 %
1.25 oz Mt. Hood [4.30 %] (60 min) 21.7 IBU
0.50 oz Crystal [3.50 %] (5 min) 1.2 IBU
0.75 oz Crystal [3.50 %] (1 min) 1.8 IBU
1 Pkgs Danish Lager (Wyeast Labs #204

This was a nice beer. Next time I do it I will go with 1# Munich, 1# Vienna, use malted wheat, skip the Melanoidin and make up the rest with Pilsen. I’ll keep the hop schedule…
