Regulators - Rebuild or Replace?

The other day my regulator started acting weird. When I would hook it up to a non-pressurized keg, I would hear the gas go in quickly for a couple of seconds, and then it would slow down suddenly and creep really slowly up to the pressure I had it set for. Then today, the adjustment screw was almost impossible to turn. The last time this happened, I tried using graphite to help the threads, but I wasn’t impressed with the results so I replaced the regulator.

Has anybody had good results with a regulator rebuild kit?  If not, is there a good regulator on the market that is more durable than the standard units?  My philosophy is to go ahead and spend the extra bucks up front, if there is a difference in quality.

Thanks!

This regulator looks way better than my old one. Besides, I’m due for a new toy anyway:
