What's Brewing This Weekend - 10/28 Edition

It’s the greasy, grimy, ghoulies edition of Weekend Brewing - are the cauldrons cacophonous? are the kettles kabooming? Are the yeast yelling?

They are indeed,

Partigyle time!

All munich barley wine with fuggles and goldings
all munich heather ale with no hops at all.

Heather ale gets WLP002 and Barley wine gets the WY1084 yesat cake from last weekends ordinary bitter!

I’m hoping I can convince my wife that I can brew and work in the yard at the same time.  If successful, I’ll be brewing a Czech Pilsner with lots of Czech Saaz!

Dave

kegging 10gal of NGP while brewing 12gal of Robust Porter - still noodling on if I want to have the roasted grains in the mash or add just before sparge - decisions, decisions…

Brewing an ordinary bitter to get a yeast cake for an old ale. And kegging a sweet stout.

Nothing brewing this weekend.  Have to do some equipment maintenance.  The doppelbock from last weekend is happily bubbling away.  It’s supposed to be cold and rainy here, may see some snow flurries.  Next up will be a DIPA.  Lost another furry friend last week.  Second one this year.  RIP Mister

sorry Jim - that’s rough, man.  you’ll see him again.

I will be brewing a Fat Tire clone and a Winter Warmer this Saturday.  As well as trying to ignore the leaves in the yard.

Paul

Another round of my ESB on Saturday with the latest tweaks.

Green Flash West Coast IPA on the schedule…

Sorry to hear of your loss again. That really hurts.  :frowning:

Maybe you can dedicate the DIPA to him.

I have to keg a tripel and organize my cellar. Lots of little odds and ends to take care of this weekend.

A slightly modified version of my golden strong ale… Been trying different variations of specialty malts, and hops. This will be the 5th iteration…

Brewing a 70 schilling and a RIS

Time to do Chris Colby’s “Cranberry Zinger” for Thanksgiving.

Thanks Paul.  We are all starting to show our age 'round these parts.  He was a real gentleman, as dogs go.

Sorry to hear that Redbeerman. They aren’t with us long enough. I’ve had to bury seven of my “best friends” over my 57 years. Doesn’t get any easier…

Saturday, I’m putting my chili beer into keg (secondary) and adding the peppers. Sunday, it’s time I try Denny’s Bourbon Vanilla.

Bruce

I have most of next week off. I’m making a big starter for a barleywine this weekend. I think. I may brew a bitter as well or instead of. Decisions, decisions.

My weekend starts today at 4 pm.  Kegging an apa tonight and brewing an am. stout tomorrow.

Brewing an ESB kit from Northern Brewer. There’s only one commercial version of an ESB I’ve liked, so I’m keeping my hopes up!

Changed my plans when I noticed WY1469 was available again.  Couple different batches of bitter coming up!  Love this stuff!

cheers–
