What's Brewing This Weekend - 3/26 Edition

Ta-dah

For me, I’ve gotta get ready for the SCHF and the fiancee is busy the whole weekend, so… it’s time for marathon brewdays.

Not entirely certain what the plan is, but there will definitely be at least 2 beers out the door:

Spring Saison with Citra
Hop Woo IPA+

This weekend will be a German pils.  Need to keep that lager yeast turning over, so I’ll do a lager every 4- 6 weeks.  I’ll probably keg the hefeweizen I did a couple of weeks ago, too.

I finally get to answer something other than “NOTHING.”  I am currently in the process of 10 gallons of Bavarian Hefeweizen from NB.  I am splitting the batch between two fermenters- one with 3068, and the other with WLP300.  I am not anticipating much difference, but I figured it’s worth a shot.

Just got done brewing Denny’s “#319 Waldo Lake Amber rev3”  recipe ,sure smells good and tomorrow I’m brewing another batch of  Houblon clone.  ;D

Hear that ticking sound  ???
7 days till I’m back in Amsterdam & Belgium ;D :stuck_out_tongue:

No brewing…Actually working on my equipment upgrades this weekend. Planning to build a motorized maltmill. Also kegging my Dusseldorf ale.

Brewing Janet’s Brown Ale this Friday

Wasn’t going to brew anything this weekend but I have a little time, and empty fermenter, and a bunch of random leftover ingredients from the last few batches to use up.  So a Cleanup Ale it is!

Something hoppy for my wife this weekend…probably an AIPA or Am. brown.

You and me both

Mine has taken a shine to a FWH Pils and wont leave that one alone but I take that as a blessing.
Amazing what can be tolerated in the name of beers she loves  ;D

Looking at another FWH Pils but might put more late additions in this time

This will be my largest quantity brewed at one session (may take 2 days)
I am stepping up a starter for 15 gallons of Herman Holtrop’s Rochefort recipe.
I need to get this beer fermenting because I have recieved my solera barrel and
to prevent it from drying out, I need to get liquid back into the oak.

I will be utilizing all of my fermentation vessels to capacity…when primary is completed
or nearly so, I plan to innoculate with Brett Lambicus and some sour cherries and put
it into the oak cask.

Methinks it looks to be a busy weekend at the ole homebrewery.  :stuck_out_tongue:

My weekend came early! I had a personal day to use up and the house to myself, so yesterday I brewed a milk stout and a clone of Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale. The house smells great! Will probably be late May before I have another brew day, but I sure enjoyed this one.

I brewed enough last weekend, so I am taking this one off.

Will be doing a helles in next week for a company picnic at the end of May.

Can’t wait to see if WIC works for me…

I am planning on brewing a new IPA with Citra and Simcoe finishing hops and maybe an Imperial Stout to age on oak chips for the fall.

wait till you smell the kettle on that bad boy!

My next door neighbor, who is an extract brewer, wanted to go through the AG process, so I was forced to brew for a second time in 3 days.  We did a Phat Tyre with US 05 today.  Oh the burden of brewing sweet, sweet beer!

Rauchbier with 12 lbs of homesmoked malt.

Bottling a Midas Touch clone, and then making my first all grain APA.

Rauchbier, 12 lbs of homesmoked malt.  This one is for me!

Hello, finally joined the AHA forums.

Anyway…just fired up the burner for a Wheat IPA.  First use of Citra today.

Just finished up the pils and drinking the Dortmunder just tapped this week.  Will keg the Hefeweizen tomorrow.  Really getting into the German beers although I still have an IPA on tap for the moments I’m digging the hops.  This  one’s an all Centennial (West Coast style) very dry finish, smack you in the mouth up front bitterness, lots of hop flavor and aroma.  This one is 7% crystal and no chill because of the snow issue we had back in February.  I think I will stick to the 10 - 15% crystal formula though, I seem to prefer more body and a sweeter finish.
