For all you hop growers. This is Willamette growing in Mabton, photo taken this morning. My Willamettes are twice this big, in pots, and I hacked mine down about 3 weeks ago.
The grower probably “knocked them back” for harvest timing purposes. After consulting with my hop guy, I didn’t trim my plants back this spring. I’ve got some monsters.
Jim- give me a heads up when you’re in the area, it would be fun to have a beer with you.
