My last order from Hop Heaven included a free 8 oz. of Hallertau Blanc. I’d never used it before, but I thought from the description that it might pair well with WY1388.
It’s just pilsner malt with a little bit of Carahell and some cane sugar, and it’s the best thing I’ve brewed all year.

I got Eroica with my order. It is a relative of Bullion and Brewers Gold. Will be worked into my Ballantine IPA homage, as I’m about out of Bullion.

I used my Eroica in a Saison and really liked it.
Eroica brings back memories. I thought it was no longer being grown. I always liked it for its assertive bitterness.
