I will be brewing an English Barly Wine and dumping on a yeast cake of WLP028 from a Brown Ale.
Possibly brewing up a West Coast Mild based on the 2011 NHC commerative San Diego Session ale with British grains only, WLP007, and all traditional “C” hops (CTZ, Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial).
Oh, and transferring over an extra APA to a keg made with HBC 342. Will dry hop with another 2oz.
That and watching my Skurz’ take down Wisconsin for a trip to the Rose Bowl!
Thinking about a Maibock on Sunday. Will be using some WLP833 harvested and washed from a Munich Dunkel that just finished up in primary.
What are you brewing Drew?
Brewing a coffee porter. Maybe tomorrow.
Hopefully getting the xmas stout into bottles, although if I bottle the barley wine that is kegged right now I might just carb the stout in the keg and bottle from there.
Also want to check the 2nd runnings small beer I brewed last weekend and see if it’s done.
Tonight I am going to add 2.5 lb of maple syrup to the barley wine from last weekends brew day.
Kegging the Impy Red Devil and may start the Christmas bottling (doppelbock, Melange de Trois Saison, Berliner)
Gonna keg the Avery Jubilation clone I’ve had in secondary for two months and also will be time to keg the Saison de Noel. Gonna rack my Christmas Ale to a keg and let sit for another 3 weeks.
Also started my first wine, an Australian Shiraz, last week, so should be time to rack to a carboy.
Brewing a milk stout this weekend. I have been brewing a coconut milk stout which has been a hit, but may change it up this time around and make it a chocolate milk stout or gingerbread stout.
I’ll be brewing a belgian dark strong and dumping it on a yeast cake from a belgian single.
Filling a bourbon barrel with my club. My share is 10 gallons of RIS.
BoPILs Baby! Pilsener Urquell Style. Working up to a Gal. Starter right now, hope to brew Friday.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the lighter, lower gravity beers where I can drink a few and not get too sauced!
My girlfriend is making her first batch on my system, with the help of my two brewing buddies’ wives, then we’ll split it into 3x 4gal portions and try different yeasts. The boys get to sit back and supervise this weekend. It’s based a Le Freak Belgian IPA clone, so I’m calling this one A Freaky Threesome.
My first attempt making Pliny the Elder. Very excited to try this as it doesn’t make it to Minnesota so if I want it I need to make it!
I’m doing a BoPils as well but doing it as a partial mash. My club’s February comp is Extract Beers to pick an entry to submit to the May COC.
Crashing a Simarillo Pale, dry hopping my Backyard IPA (all hops from backyard 2012 harvest) and kegging a Centennial SHIPA.
Playing it by ear for sunday - if nothing’s going on, I might squeeze in a brew - either Czech Pils or American Stout.
Got the day off tomorrow. As long as the UPS guy isn’t running late I will be brewing a Belgian Amber using the Unibroue strain with lots of late additions of Caliente and a touch of Centennial. Forgot about the holiday & black friday - should have placed that order a little earlier
If the UPS guy is running late I’ll probably bottle some mead and cider, then go shopping for some good local Maple Syrup for a batch of maple wine.
Brewing a Vanilla Porter and kegging up a pale ale and a Black IPA.
Wow, guess I am not the only one this weekend with a BoPils on my mind… :o Brewing one up this afternoon when I get off work. Love me half day Fridays!
A nudder lager for Super Bowl party. Gotta be kinda light, but I am converting folks slowly and surely!
