What's Brewing This Weekend - 3/12 Edition

What’s brewing?

More beer tomorrow for me… haven’t quite decided yet what, but there it is

Plus the Stone Rally on Saturday

No brewing this weekend but kegging a DIPA.

Westcoastmalle tripel

Some sort of Pale ale or Bitter. I want this one to be lighter- around the 10 SRM range. Have access to RO water now so sub-20 beers are possible now.

Fawcett & Sons Golden Promise for base malt. Maybe some 10L and a touch of 60L. Maybe…

Have Fuggles, Goldings and N. Brewer. Hmmm…

Munich Dunkel on Friday.

IIPA on Saturday or Sunday.  Yum.  How long should one age a IIPA?  It’s going to be around 8% I think, maybe a little more and about 86 IBU’s.  I’m thinking it doesn’t need too much aging since you want the hop aroma to be fresh.

however long it takes to carb.  ;D

woman, what did you give that Loch Ness Monsta $3.50 fo’?

judging this weekend, no brewing.

next weekend is the brewing bonanza though.

nothing this weekend as its the third annual st pattys day party. we’ve got 100 gallons of homebrew, and a whole lot of thirsty people . . .

An ESB, then a Rauchbier with homesmoked malt.

I am brewing “Evil Twin” this Sunday!!!

Guys, I don’t know when this hefeweizen is going to get done.  I’m in Miami now and most likely will be next week too.  Way too much going on right now for brewing. :frowning:

hey man - I am going to be judging a beer comp down in Miami this weekend - let me know if you want to meet up.

Crap, I’ll be back on the Chesapeake for the weekend, back down on Monday, that would be cool though, damn.

Hey Jim - When are we planning to move VTI back to New Castle?

LOL I Love that episode!  Maybe I’ll give the IIPA a couple more weeks than I normally would a regular strength beer.  Or I’ll give it the same time, but just condition it for longer than I normally do in the keg.

I’ll be racking a Maibock to lager Friday night, and brewing a Munich Helles on Saturday or Sunday.  I got the starter for the Helles going earlier today.

ESB on Sunday night.

JZ’s California Common from Brewing Classic Styles this Sunday.
Will brew to the T, but may subtract 1 lb. of base malts to make it even more sessionable.

Dunkelweizen (done and in the primary)

One more before Hefeweizen season hits

It isn’t the weekend, but I will finally be able to brew something on the 17th or 18th.  I am thinking either Denny’s RIPA or Bavarian Hefeweizen.  I have to get a starter going on Monday and give it enough time to finish out.
