Cap’s are a great summer beer. I have one we are sampling, can’t wait for some warm weather here.
Just started the boil on a Union Jack IPA clone.
No brewing this weekend. Going up to Mom’s.
I have a brew session filled with blaring Jimi Hendrix, an ESB and a saison!
Need to do some bottling, and may brew an IPA.
Our homebrew club the Wizards of Ale is doing a 30 gallon batch of the Big Brew English IPA recipe as well as several other people brewing separate batches.
CAP, Helles, IPA, Cali Common
Looks like the last version of my CAP was competing against yours in the first round of the NHC in Indianapolis. Mine went to the mini-BOS but you took home the ribbon(s)!

Thanks. The downside is we are competing in the second round against a good friend from the club with the 3rd place CAP.
Jeff Renner thought the CAP was really good at the last club meeting, which was more gratifying, if you know what I mean.

No, out of the three I submitted the CAP did the best. But I got good feedback from the judges on all three beers so I’m happy.
Bottled a Biere de Guarde last night, (yes, the recipe featured here a few weeks ago) racked my tripel into secondary to make room for todays brew: another tripel, slightly different grain bill and hops schedule.
I’m brewing a Porter that I intend to flavor with bacon in the secondary.
I like the name!
