No brewing. Our local club is serving beer at the Great Nebraska Beer Fest. Should be great fun and a killer lineup of commercial brews that we can’t get in Nebraska!
Bavarian Dampfbier for me. This will be the fifth and final beer for my Oktoberfest lineup. I just bought some authentic Bavarian lederhosen in preparation. ;D
No brewing. I have a keg competition to serve my beer at, and the BJCP tasting exam right before that on Saturday. I might get a couple Brett starters going Sunday for a couple batches next week though.
I haven’t been able to brew for over 3 weeks because of a vacation in the UP of Michigan. Sadly, no blueberries to bring home. I think it’ll be an American Amber.
Wow, you’re right. It is time to start thinking about x-mas brew! I’ve been doing Jubelesque brews the last couple of years. Thinking I’d like to mix it up this year. Perhaps I’ll start a yule beer thread for insipiration.
This week I washed yeast for the first time, one was an amber and the other a Saison. So this weekend I’m brewing the same amber with Victory added and I’m doing my same basic Saison, but I’m going to add some coriander and orange peel. Both using the yeast I washed w/ starters.
Wish I could brew, but lookin’ like I’m going to be busy doing other things…
Perhaps I’ll brew Monday or something. I do need to keg a vienna lager though, so I may do that when I get a chance. German lager, yummmmmm.
No brewing, the fermenters are full. Have a big Irish Red and an English IPA going crazy right now, maybe next weekend or the weekend after that. For all of those brewing this weekend - good luck and tear it up!!!
I will be taking my daughter down to Boston for the weekend. We will be checking out the Boston Aquarium on Saturday and taking her to her first baseball game on Sunday.
